Michael Douglas ‘Extremely Disappointed’ By Sexual Harassment Allegations

Michael Douglas has some harsh words for those who earlier this year accused him of sexual misconduct.

“I was extremely, extremely disappointed,” the veteran actor said on the new podcast “TBD with Tina Brown” “Very disappointed. It’s all past.”

As Radar reported, journalist Susan Braudy alleged that Douglas, now 74, exposed himself in front of her when they worked together in the late 80’s.

“He slid down the floor, unbuckled his belt and put his hand inside his trousers and I could see what he was doing. Then he began to sort of began to fondle himself,” she claimed. “I was very scared.”

On the podcast, Douglas told Brown the allegations are a complete lie, and no one has ever come forward to support Braudy’s story.

“Now the way this generally works is, somebody makes a charge and then they, if they are responsible reach out as they did to every person I worked with over 25 years,” Douglas explained. “And they did because everybody got back to me and there was nobody that ever complimented that accusation.”

Douglas’ wife of 18 years, Catherine Zeta-Jones, admitted she and her family took the allegations seriously, but after having a family discussion, she is convinced he is innocent.

“There was nothing to back it up at all,” said the “Me Too” Movement supporter. “For any accusation that comes out that isn’t backed up, that knocks the movement back 20 years.”

As for Douglas, the Oscar Winner says dealing with false accusations is part of life in the spotlight.

“This is the way it goes,” he told Brown. “ I was accused back when I was in 1990 of being a sex addict, when I went to rehab.”
